Most of us have, at some time or another, been bullied by someone. If you are lucky, it passes quickly in childhood, and "builds character" by your learning empathy. For some of us, it continues into adulthood, and often into romantic relationships. I once married someone who, over time, turned into a bully. He tried to bully me - once again - this weekend, and I stood my ground. I was calm, firm, exercised my rights, and left more or less victorious on the actual issue of contention.
Have you ever stood up to a bully? And, perhaps more importantly, what were you wearing when you did it? (Haha!)
On another note, I was thinking about buying a clothes steamer. This jacket gets wrinkly (mostly because I'm a slob and just chuck it wherever) but I'm afraid to toss it in the dryer to knock the wrinkles out because the lapel/collar backing is wool. Ideas?
Good for you. That took courage.
ReplyDeleteKiddo will get over it. It did take courage to do it, you could have let him walk all over you again, but didn't!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried hanging the jacket in the bathroom while you shower and steaming it that way? Sometimes that helps release wrinkles.
